Palm Trees

I have posted before some photos from this beach but we are not sick of coming here if we feel like going.  A walk with my hubby one weekend afternoon along Glenelg Beach to watch the sunset and sometimes we just come here to buy our favorite fish and chips and sit on the beach front. This photo was on Mosley Square a small park fronting the beach surrounded by palm trees with bench chairs around where you can sit down to eat a take away food as there some restaurants, hotels and food shop around the area. Every weekend this place was full of crowds as it's a beautiful place to spend your time. It was also the place where the last station of the tram stop from City to Mosley Street, Glenelg vise versa. Further walk from the palm tree photos was a long jetty bridge to do a bit of walk and you can see some people fishing.

More series of photos on  my next blog, some angle of the beautiful views still from Glenelg Beach  which I haven't posted before.

Farmers Union-Iced Coffee

My Hubby has a hobby or a habit of drinking Iced coffee milk since he was a kid which until now he still loves drinking. I think an average of 6 cartoons of 600ml a day . It's not really very healthy since it's fattening, he told me hopefully one day he can get rid of the habit of drinking. So all I do is collecting of the cartoons and bottles, if he don't drink that often I don't mind collecting them.  Last Sunday morning hubby and I sort all the ice coffe bottle and cartoon collections that is building up on garage. We sell them to Scrap and Metal Depot which I had post on Sunday. We've got 55 oz dollar and we treat ourselves for lunch, here are some photos I've took while we are waiting on the que and while staff counting our bottles and cartoons.

P.S.  If your not a follower of my blog yet, please take time to follow and I'll follow you back, thanks.

Scrap & Metal Recycling Depot

Last night we arrived home late from a movie with PIL and of course go to bed very late.  I was awake around 9:00am day and open my computer to update my blog and facebook browsing that I don't have much time to do sometimes.  I was in bed while hubby is still sleeping and snoring what a nice background music for me very constant and repeatable sounds.(lol)

While blogging I was thinking what acitivity we can do for today, we can't go somewhere else far because I still have 2:30pm work.  I was thinking when he's wake up I'll tell him we will go to scrap depot to sell all the bottles and milk cartoons I had collected for a few months. It wasl already building up on the garage now I've collected almost 7 big garbage bin bag, I don't know if it will fit in the car maybe two trips if it won't fit.  Last May we've sold around 50 oz dollar for the recyclable bottles for 10cents each.  I don't know today I hope it's more than that, we can treat ourselves on a big lunch.

I better wake up my hubby now I know the scrap depot close after lunch and it will build up again if we won't sell today.  Yeheyy hubby is just awake it's good he cooperate hehe sometimes when I wake him up it takes a while for him to widely awake or else we don't have bonding time again even for a short hours only. It's been a while we don't have our Sunday quality time because of my weekend shift on the second job I've got, but good we still try to catch some hours to have our quality time. I't would be great as next weekend I don't have shift.

Recall Notice

The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.

This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed "Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality," or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.

Some of the symptoms include:

1. Loss of direction
2. Foul vocal emissions
3. Amnesia of origin
4. Lack of peace and joy
5. Selfish or violent behavior
6. Depression or confusion in the mental component
7. Fearfulness
8. Idolatry
9. Rebellion

The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect.

The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required.

The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R.

Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:

1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self control

Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes.

WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus.

DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility. Thank you for your attention!

- GOD

P.S. Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by 'Knee mail'!

Back to Shopping

Since I came back on holiday from Philippines last June, I never thought of going out for a shopping of anything for myself here in Adelaide. I just went to shopping center only to browse and just eat on a restaurant. It's because I already done all my shopping while we are on holiday and I don’t need some yet. But last Sunday when my hubby and I accompany his mum to buy something on department store I’ve spotted a nice bolero jacket I was almost tempted to buy but I suddenly thought and remember that was the same jacket I saw online which is cheaper than what’s in the store. My MIL got what she wanted to buy shoes and some tops after that we thought of having lunch. On the way to the food court we passed by on different shop, one is a the jewelry shop that is on special sale for the week we had a quick look inside, I can see the glittering of the 3 carat diamond ring on the window display. I’ was thinking of saving money for that at least one day I can wear one it’s one of my to do list or hope one day my hubby can give that shiny and valuable gift for me. Very attractive jewelry sometimes it’s my weakness that’s why when I pass on that kind of shop I don’t really look. It’s funny, I know that most of the woman weakness too, especially looking on my MIL finger that has different kind of diamond rings I’m hesitate to ask how many carat she wear, hope she will put that on her will one day, hahaha I’m being silly only.

We finished our lunch then we plan to go because hubby will drop me to work and it’s almost the right time to go. We have a lovely day together with MIL even it’s only less than 2 hours.

Key To Happiness. (Everything Else Is Fake.)

I'll share this wonderful Article I've just read.
I have an announcement to make: God wants you to be happy. In fact, I believe God has already lined up the right blessings, the right miracles, and the right people to bless your life.

Especially the right people.

Why right people?

Because God wants you to be happy by having happy relationships.

He really only has one strategy to make you happy. He has no backup plan in case it fails. It’s through happy relationships or bust.
If you don’t have happy relationships, you’ll never be happy.

No matter how rich you are.
No matter how religious you are.
No matter how much you achieve in life.
No matter how beautiful you are.
No matter how intelligent you get.

At the end of the day, your life is all about relationships.

In other words, your life is all about love.
That’s why the greatest commandments are about love.
Because He wants you to be happy.
Listen To Older People

When John Izzo interviewed 235 older people, he found out that their most common regret is not taking enough risks.

But what was the most painful regret?
Failure in relationships.
When I talk to older people, I’ve heard this same regret too.

“I didn’t spend enough time with my family.”
“I didn’t put people before things.”
“I didn’t express my love.”
“I didn’t apologize and repair a broken relationship.”

Our most painful regret is that we didn’t love enough.

That’s why the Bible says, Let love be your highest goal. (1 Corinthians 14:1) More than anything else, love must be our most important dream.

Often, Dying Men Are Wise Men

One day, I visited a doctor who was battling with cancer.
His own doctors told he had six months to live.
When I saw him, he had all the signs of success: Big house, big cars, big job…
But he told me something that struck me deeply.

He said, “Brother Bo, please pray for me. I’m in pain. But the physical pain I experience is nothing compared to the hurt in my heart…”
He wept for a long time.
He finally blurted it out, “Bo, my kids don’t even want to visit me.”
I was shocked. “Why?” I asked.

“I can’t blame them. My children and I never had a good relationship. When they were growing up, I didn’t have time for them. I was so busy with my job. I’d go home impatient. I blew my top often. When I was angry, I couldn’t control my mouth. So I’ve said nasty things to my children that I wish I never said. Sadly, I can’t take back my words.”

He kept sobbing.
I prayed for him.
We were alone in his room. And it seemed like he was going to die alone.
I couldn’t help comparing this scene with the last years of my father. He was always surrounded by his kids and grandkids. Everyday, we were there with him.

Friend, how do you want to die?
You determine that by what you prioritize today.

Why The Kings Of Israel Failed

I found something interesting in the Bible.

In the span of 300 years, Israel had 43 Kings. You know some of them: King Saul, King David, King Solomon, etc…
But out of 42 Kings, only 8 were considered “good” Kings.
That’s pretty sad.
That means 34 kings were spiritually bankrupt.
Why?

Here’s the crux of the problem: Fathers were busy building their kingdoms, they had no time to build their sons.
Like anywhere else in the world, Kings passed their throne to their sons. Usually, a bad King begets another bad King.
And that’s the same problem today.

Fathers don’t have time for their sons. And daughters.
Fathers aren’t leading their families to God.
Fathers aren’t mentoring their children.

Love Circle Prayer

I created a special ritual that you can do for the next 7 days.
I call it the “Love Circle Prayer”.

Here’s my big promise: If you do this for the next 7 days, you will change. And your relationships will change.

Before I tell you why, let me tell you how.

There are three steps…

Step 1: Be Grateful For You
Select one stone to represent you. While holding it, thank God for who you are and the blessings of the day. (Example: “Thank you Lord for protecting me from an accident this morning; Thank you Lord that I was able to finish my report and my boss likes it…”) After praying, place the stone at the middle of the “Love Circle” Card.

Step 2: Be Grateful For The Love You Received
Select a stone for each loved one in your life. Hold each stone and thank God for how this person blessed you. (Example: “Thank you Lord for my wife’s unconditional love for me.”; “Thank you Lord for my mother’s gift of life to me.”) Place the stone at the outside circle. Repeat for each stone.

Step 3: Be Grateful For The Love You Gave
Hold each stone representing each of your loved ones, and thank God for how you were able to show love to that person. (Example: “Thank you Lord I was able to spend time with my son today”; “Thank you Lord I was able to tell my father I loved him today.”) As you do this, move the stone from the outer circle to the inner circle. Note: If you weren’t able to show your love to that person that day, plan how you can do it the next day.

Pray the Love Circle Prayer in the evening before you sleep. Do this for 7 days. This will change you and transform your relationships.

Why This Ritual Will Change Your Life

If you do this for 7 days, you’ll be changed.

How? By the power of gratitude.

For 7 days, you’re reprogramming your mind to look at the way your loved ones bless you. And not how they irritate you.

One day, I gave a retreat for married couples.

I asked them to write 10 wonderful qualities they see in their spouse. Immediately, they complained. “Ten? That’s too much!”

But they were kidding. All of them went to work, writing the answers. Except for one woman.
She came up to me and said, “Bo, there’s no redeemable quality in my husband.”
I said, “That’s impossible.”
“I’m telling you Bo, my husband is a creature from outer space. He’s an alien life form.”

“You can’t think of one thing that’s good about him?” I asked.

She said, “Well, I can think of one thing. He’s got good tastes. After all, he chose me.”
I smiled. “Write that down. Anything else?”
The Power Of Gratitude
“That’s it,” she said. “Nothing else.”
“I’ll help you to joggle your brain,” I said.

“Does he help you at home?”
“No. He’s lazy.”

“Does he cook?” I asked.
She shook her head. “Are you kidding me? Of course not. He knows how to eat. And he eats like a monster…”

That’s when she stopped.

“You know, come to think about it, I feed my husband anything and he’s happy. I fry him an egg—and he’s content. I’m writing this down…”

She wrote it, “Mababaw ang kanyang kaligayahan.” (He’s easy to please.)
She kept on writing 8 more good qualities about her husband.
And in five minutes, I saw a physical transformation.
Her face changed. She was so happy. She pointed to her list and said, “Bo, puwede na yung Mister ko!”
But in those five minutes, her husband didn’t change.
She did.
That’s the power of gratitude.

That’s why I believe that this “Love Circle Prayer” will change you. Each night, you’ll learn how to be grateful for you and your loved ones.

And one more thing…

The Power Of Love
This ritual will also “force” you to show your love more.

Because in Step 3 (Be Grateful For The Love You Give), you’ll be thanking God for the opportunity to show love.
Just as a warning, let me tell you the story.

One day, there was a lion who called for a meeting with the animals. He said, “Each of you will tell a joke. But everyone must laugh or I’ll eat the one who told the joke.”

The monkey, who knew he was very funny, went up first and told his joke. When he reached the punchline, everyone cracked up. Everyone that is, except one animal: The turtle. He didn’t laugh.

The lion shook his head. He pounced on the monkey and ate him in one gulp. All the animals gasped. The lion called out, “Next!”

The parrot believed he was really funny so he stepped in front and told his joke. When he reached his punchline, all the animals laughed. Except the turtle!

And to everyone’s horror, the lion gobbled up the parrot.

All the animals were angry at the turtle! But they couldn’t say anything in front of the lion.

“Next!” the lion said.

The giraffe stepped up, trembling. He started telling his joke when the turtle began to laugh really hard!

The animals looked at him wondering what he was doing.

The lion asked the turtle, “What’s wrong with you? Giraffe hasn’t reached his punchline yet!”

The turtle said, “Haha! I can’t help it. The monkey’s joke was sooooo funny!”

Give Love, But Don’t Expect

An Instant Response

Let’s say you’re a father.

And you’ve not really been spending time with your kids.

But because of the ritual, you’ve decided to hangout with them. However, you find out that your kids don’t want to hangout with you!

It’ll be frustrating. But don’t give up.

Your kids are turtles. In due time, your children will “get it” and respond to your love.

Skillfull Disabled Person

Last week, working as a check-out operator which is my second job on a leading supermarket I've seen different kinds of people everyday from all kinds of ages and nationality, normal, disable and all sorts.  One customer I saw on the other check-out of my other team member has no arms just an artificial plastic thing attached to his arm that can carry a bag or pick up something. While I'm busy serving my customer my other eye was also busy looking to the disable person picking up a full items of grocery on two basket on the floor. Guess what how he picked-up the items in the basket? By his foot, it's amazing how he utilize his feet to make up for having no hands to grip and grab a tin can, a 2 liters drink, vegetable and other item using his one foot lifting up to put on cashier table.  I was distracted that I become slow on my service to the customer that I'm serving, I was only very curious on his ability despite of his disability on both arms, my first time to see a disable person doing that it's fantastic.  There is a lady behind him on the queu who is just looking at him having difficulty picking all the items in the basket. I was talking to myself and thinking that the lady is not kind enough to give him a hand. But he did very well, he made it to the end and finish all his shopping by his own way.

When I got home after work, I told the story to my hubby about what happened and what I saw in the supermarket.  He said sometimes disable person don't like someone to help them, they take it sometimes on negative way if someone wants to help.  They think they are useless and can't do anything at all or a burden in the society because they are disable, so what I saw to the lady behind him not helping the man is not because she is not kind but because of the behavior of disable person that they can do and they don't need help. Some are gifted with talent and some were trained how to use other part of the body as an alternative way to function normally. The man in the supermarket is just one of the well-trained person so we must understand and be proud of them. They are gifted human being created by God with unique talents and skills that sometimes a normal person don't have.

MIL's Backyard

Last Monday was labor day here in Adelaide and a holiday of course had a longer sleep coping up for the long hours I had the week before. My MIL rang me if I had the time to come and visit here as if we don't come often with my hubby but maybe she just want to have a company so I went there in the afternoon, while she is busy doing something inside the house I went to the backyard and wander around listening to some of the birds humming everywhere in the trees and looking to her blooming flowers. So here is one of the flower photo I took while I'm there, behind is the fruit of lemon tree.
